Brunswick Avant Garde

It has taken over a week, but they are finally based. In fact I have just noticed a cobweb(?) on one of them in the picture!

I am currently rebasing some of my other figures and have a basing backlog you see.

The uniforms look rather muted and the green facings have merged into the grey in the photographs-which is a shame because in the flesh the colours are quite "pingy".

Next up are some Hinton cavalry (they really are HH this time-I checked!)-again they are finished but they are sitting behind some 28mm Danes in the basing queue! Hopefully I will be posting again by the weekend.

Belgian Infantry

The title pretty much says it all! Not the Brunswickers I said would be next (they will be finished in the next 48 hours or so), but a tiddly unit of Newline Belgians. I undercoated them at the same time as the Avant Garde and could not resist painting them.

The next few weeks will be small units-basically I am filling the gaps in half completed units. Next are the Brunswickers and then I have some rather lovely Hinton Hunt cavalry, all of which I want to complete by the end of the month.

Has Anybody Else Noticed....

.....that since Blogger have introduced their "Spam Filter" that the dreaded SE Asian Dial-A-Bride rubbish has gone?

Progress At Last!

Yes, the kids go back at school and suddenly my painting output picks up...could the two be connected or is this just a spooky coincidence?
Apologies for the slightly naff quality of the shot, this was the pick of the batch tonight for some reason. Now looking ahead at what is in the pipeline the future is a little troubled.
Cutting a long story short my real life job has taken over and my painting time will be curtailed. It means a lot of projects that I had started will be postponed. This includes the Crimean collection and "my" Napoleonics for a while. I still have a large number of Napoleonic figures destined for the collections of others, including these Russians and I really want them all finished and shipped out by Christmas. Next up some Brunswick Avant Garde.
